Our decision to open the restaurant Casa Nostra arose from the desire to create a piece of Italy here in Riga and to give everyone a chance to choose between merely consuming food and savouring a meal. Consuming food, or feeding yourself, satisfies only a basic need such as breathing, sleeping, etc. and you can meet this need with anything edible. It satisfies a need and is not necessarily a choice. Instead, eating a meal is a creative moment, playful, emotional, where the senses, all come into play: smell, sight, taste, touch. With the act of eating you express yourself, communicate who you are and what you want. The choice of foods, based on their taste, their preparation, are important because these foods will become part of you … the ancients said we are what we eat, so it is important that what we eat is not only tasty or invitingly presented, but it is also essential that it is healthy and natural.

We have chosen to give only the best, because the quality of the genuineness of the products are the basis for a long and healthy life, taking care of the body and the spirit. Most products we use are quality guaranteed and are Italian, many are Bio and, in any case, all are of the highest quality and always fresh. As you will see, the Italian cuisine is basically simple, its value being in the quality of the products. Italian authenticity is also maintained by having Italian chefs.
The two profiles in our logo reflect not only the Art Nouveau building in which we are located and but also our two very different origins Latvia/Australia and Italy. “Casa Nostra” is a genuine reflection of our and relationship, a place where you feel comfortable, happy, positive and satisfied.
